My Tiny Review

Ok, well my fellow bloggers know I am not a woman of many words when it comes to movie reviews. So, i decided to make my own little review blog. Here are the movies i have seen lately and my opinion of each.

COP OUT- Very good movie. Haven't seen a movie that made me laugh quite as much as this one. Bruce and Tracy are great together and I hope to see a sequel out of it.

SHUTTER ISLAND- This move was hyped up and everyone was excited for it. Hell, even I was. And during the movie I was thinking "is he trippin'? Are they trying to make him crazy? Does he really see these things?" hmm. Then to my surprise and disappointment, the movie was predictable. Come on Scorsese, you could have done better than that.

Well that is all I have seen lately. The end.

Cinematic Adventures

Movies are great. Everyone likes going to the movies from time to time. You get your tickets, find a seat, get popcorn and candy and soda..etc. And as you mindlessly shove handfuls of popcorn into you mouth you watch the movie. Then when the movies over, you snap back to reality and look at the huge mess that has piled at your feet.

The best part of going to the movies for me is the popcorn. To me, going to the movies is NOT going to the movies, unless you have movie theatre popcorn in your lap when the movie is over. Last night I did not get to enjoy popcorn because, well, I simply cannot afford it. The prices they charge at movie theatres are ridiculous. Are they crazy? No. They are smart. They know that people will buy it anyway. Unless you are me and sneak in your own candy and drinks and paid a dollar for each. =)

The best movies are free ones. We went to a screening of COP OUT last night with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. It was a really funny movie. That the most review you are going to get out of me. My fellow bloggers will go into more detail.

I remember back in Cali going to 3 or 4 movie screenings a week. I'd rush after work to meet my friends who were already in line waiting. Being first in line was always a must to guarantee good seating. Nowadays we go to about one screening a month. Sad. I would like to go to more, but my main focus would be a job. Speaking of which, a doctor just called me to ask some questions. And he asked me if I was a character from Winnie the Pooh, which would I be and why? MOST RANDOM INTERVIEW QUESTION EVER! But, it made me think, and made Jess laugh. I had to keep it together however because I need a job in the worst way. Well that is all for now.

TLC and Its Flaws

Well i can't blog if i don't have something to blog about. So now that I have a few things to blog about. Here I go:

First, a rant that i have been thinking about ranting about for days now. A rant about TLC and other stations such as that. Ok, so we had JOHN AND KATE PLUS 8, GREAT show, I've watched all the seasons but season 5. And it came to an end, a sad end. We also have other shows. THE LITTLE COUPLE, which I thought was a good, different show about 2 small people and their not-so-everyday lives. We also have CAKE BOSS, which is a great show but it always leaves me wanting something sweet or to go to Hoboken, New Jersey and try Buddy's sweet treats.

Now the other day I saw a commercial about a new show called "Our Little Lives" about yet, ANOTHER midget couple and their lives with an infant. Now, HOW MANY of the same show are people going to make??? Seriously! And there is ACE OF CAKES and ULTIMATE CAKE OFF, which i don't know which one came first, but as far as I'm concerned, CAKE BOSS is the better of the 3. And then there is the 19 KIDS AND COUNTING show with those Duggars...I don't think (and this is just my opinion) that people who keep poppin' out kids (at least 1 a year, i might add) should be given the privilege of their own show, just for the sole purpose of having almost 20 kids. I personally think its disgusting. Now i hear they don't believe in birth control, that its in their religion. Well, im sorry but there is no excuse for having that many kids. And i know what you're thinking, "Well John and Kate have 8, so its the same thing" NO! Its not. John and Kate had the twins, and then tried to have one more, had trouble doing so, so they sought medical help, and wound up with 6. Not something they planned. But these Duggars, just continue to NOT use birth control and pop out kids, and be famous for it. I don't see how its fair that THEY get to have a TV show (not that they don't NEED the money with all those kids)

Not that i need MY own show, though it would be nice. But i'm not very interesting. I'm not short, and dont have 25 kids. Nor do I have my own bakery.

Well now that I have ranted about it, maybe it will stop bothering me. Hell, maybe this blog will make ME famous. Who knows...........

Rustler's Rooste

Yes, Roost with an "e". I thought it was odd, but hey, not my restaurant. But it was a pretty cool restaurant, with a slide from the upstairs waiting to the dining room for the kiddies. It had live music, hay on the ground but not TOO MUCH hay. The waiters and waitresses were wearing cowboy hats and outfits. Even had rattlesnake on the menu, which I was interested in trying but chickened out and am now regretting! The only tacky part of this place was the COW placed in a corral outside the entrance, which I couldn't help but think about while I enjoyed my steak. RIP my fine meaty friend. What can I say? I love meat. I could never be a vegan, and I have thought about it.

First non-myspace blog EVER

Well folks..I've succumbed to the blog aspect of life as we know it. I have outgrown myspace, as I should have a few years ago. My blogs will be very different, yet amusing. At least I hope so. I am going to try and keep it non-diaryesque.

Still on the job hunt as of now, I have put in multiple ( and i mean multiple) applications from Phoenix to Chandler, to Tempe, and going as far as Mesa. I put in a few everyday and it leaves me with that hopeful feeling that someone will call for an interview. I have had 3 so far, with a "thanks, but no thanks" result. I am actually waiting to hear from one I just had one tuesday. There are just NO jobs out here and its very upsetting. I'm getting that panicked feeling....

On to better thoughts....I got the car windows tinted today. It looks pretty cool, i must say and I got a deal too....yeah thats pretty much as exciting as life gets for me these days. So sad...but I am trying to keep my chin up and hope for good things to happen.....thats supposed to help, right?
