Dear PMB, and all your Twitter Followers,
Since you decided to address the friends of the above mentioned Ex in your open letter, I felt it only appropriate to respond. Trust me when I say there is nothing to be flattered about when we read your tweets and blogs. Also, trust me when I say that your tweeting and blogging is NOT what is keeping your EX with his current girlfriend. It's SO funny that you think that, whatever helps you sleep at night. In fact, it is with pure delight that I tell you that all we do is laugh and pity you. Laugh at you because those two couldn't be happier, with or without your existence. Although, if it wasn't for your failed marriage, they wouldn't have sought each other out like they did and found that life can be SO MUCH BETTER together, so really, they should be thanking you! :) We read, not because we care. But because man, is it entertaining.
But, unlike you, I suppose I should be too hateful in this rebuttle letter full of AWESOME. Your boys are wonderful, very taken care of by their father and their father's girlfriend. I am there to witness the fun and love and feasts that take place while your boys are in their father, your ex's, care. Your attempts to bring the new, much happier couple down are thwarted by their love for each other. I find it quite amusing that you stalked my twitter, and even more fun, was posting things on there for you to wonder if it was about you or not. So, thank you for that! It was great fun.
You are clearly not over your failed marriage, because you are still talking about it to everyone. This is why we pity you. Seems like you didn't have any trouble finding a new man either. So there's that. So why continue bashing your ex and his new love? Seems frivolous.
So in conclusion, go ahead and repost this to ALL your twitter followers so they can feel bad for you and you can be the victim. You like it that way anyway. They probably wouldn't feel bad for you if they knew what kind of person you REALLY are. Thoughts like that make me smile. :) Maybe next time you want to talk shit to people, you will do it to their face, or at least via email. I will also be posting your open letter for my followers to see. Hey, maybe you'll be famous.
So, happy blogging/tweeting and I'll see you around the store. ;)
Sincerely, Your Ex's friend

My New Hobby
Well I've decided to get a new hobby. Cooking. Now, I'm not talking Creme Brulee or anything crazy like that. I will start off simple. Casseroles. I may be sort of mimicking what some other friends of mine do on their blogs. Hope they don't mind....
The other day my other mother was here and she walked me through how to make Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas. She brought the hatch green chili straight from Albuquerque. The recipe is rather simple and goes as follows:

The other day my other mother was here and she walked me through how to make Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas. She brought the hatch green chili straight from Albuquerque. The recipe is rather simple and goes as follows:
You Will Need:
- 1 or 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup, or Cream of Chicken Soup (or both; depending on how much you want to make)
- Corn Tortillas
- White Onion
- 1/4 cup water
- Shredded Cheese (kind of your choice)
- 8x13 casserole pan
- Green Chili (hotness of your choice)
- 2 to 3 cooked and shredded chicken breasts
Directions
- 1. Preheat the over to 350
- 2. Combine soup, green chili, chicken, and water in a medium sauce pan. Heat on low until just boiling, reduce heat and simmer for about 10 mins.
- 3. Line corn tortillas on the bottom of casserole dish. (Tortillas can be cooked in oil, but to lessen calorie content, I don't) Spoon chicken and soup mixtures on top of tortillas in a thin layer, or thick as you chose.
- 4. Line more corn torillas on top, and layer as desired.
- 5. Top with cheese and chopped onions.
- 6. Bake for 15-20 mins or until cheese is fully melted.
So, thats my simple recipe. More to come as I am able to cook! I think the next thing one will be the Potato Cheese Casserole. Stay tuned!

Fry's Food vs. Wal-mart
Well its been a while, and I have been thinking on what I should blog about. So here are the differences and similarities and pros and cons about Fry's and the dreaded corporate monster Wal-Mart.
Wal-Mart
I'll start with Wal-mart because it was the first place I worked retail. When I first started working at walmart, I was doing the baking. That meant going in at 5am till noon and baking, packaging, and getting bread for the next day ready to proof.Kind of a lot to do when my co-baker wasn't there. There were 2 donut ladies, 3 cake decorators, and about 4 ladies on the floor putting out product. I left there when I came to AZ. I got transferred to a walmart out here where I was putting product on the sales floor. At this store, there were 2 bakers, 1 donut lady, 1 cake decorator, and 2 people already doing the sales floor before I came along. At this walmart I did a little bit of everything except play manager. I decorated cakes, donuts, and did baking. Everyone was responsible to throw THEIR own trash. God forbid someone ask you to throw their trash away. As far as managers went, they were all the same. Answering to a higher power and shitting on us peon employees. When I started doing cake decorating, they weren't even going to change my pay. Being a cake decorator is the highest thing you can do in the bakery. If i hadn't said something, they were going to pay me the same. I must say that there were a choice few managers that weren't total asses, and by choice few I mean ONE.
Fry's
The idea of working at Fry's was a desperate attempt to attain a regular paycheck. When the whole MA thing didn't work out, I couldn't wait anymore to find a good job. I went back to the bakery, expecting to do cakes like I had already been doing. But it turns out they needed a closer. They did test me on my cake decorating skills to see if I could be cake decorator, but apparently I didn't pass that test. (Gimme a break, it had been like 6 months since I had done a cake) But in THIS bakery, there is only 1 baker (unless they are off, then they have others trained to bake) who does nothing BUT bakes, bread, pastries, and donuts. The baker does not package anything that he bakes, the other morning people do it. There is 1 cake decorator, and 2 or 3 other people that put out fresh product and fill tables, and one closer. Me. There is also A LOT MORE PRODUCT and baking. There is a plethora of breakfast items, self serve donuts, self serve pastries and bagels, and self serve rolls. All of which are packaged at the end of the night, and not just thrown away. All in all its a much smoother running bakery and I feel more part of a team. Of course, it has its flaws and management is still the same, filled with douche bags on a power trip because they are titled "manager". But like i said with walmart, there are a select few that are good managers. At Fry's, people actually work, as opposed to the laziness that is people at walmart.
In conclusion if I HAD to choose which place sucks the least, Fry's would be my choice, but not far off from the hell that is walmart. So if you are a teenager needing a first job, or a senior citizen that wants something to do during the day, then by all means, work at one of these stores. I don't know why I decided to blog about these places, just something thats been rolling around in my head for a few days. I promise I will make it more interesting next blog. =)

Done.
I have completely given up on the medical field. I haven't gotten a call or an interview for an MA or even front desk position, in MONTHS. Literally MONTHS. I'm sitting here applying for jobs for MA or front office in vain, because NO ONE WANTS ME. I'm not bilingual, I don't have experience, etc. I officially don't know what to do with my life anymore. I thought if I went to school to be an MA (start at the bottom) and work my way up, it would be a great life decision. But no, I'm working at the damn grocery store, making below minimum wage, getting NO hours, and they don't even like me. I am almost positive they are trying to replace me already. I am 23 years old, and I have done nothing with my life. I just had an interview yesterday for the movie theatre across the street. And they wont even hire me there!! Apparently they would prefer to just hire teenagers. I feel like calling them back and asking "so...what the fuck is wrong with me? Why wouldn't you hire me, and a better question, why wouldn't you hire Jess?? It's the perfect place for her!! at least!" Stupid morons.
I am desperately seeking another job. If not medical, then close to home. Next stop, Starbucks. I hear they start at 8 an hour. So I am going to call tomorrow morning.
I hate feeling this way. The feeling of worthlessness and rejection. I'm sure there are other that feel the same.

Beyond Frustration...
So I'm applying online for some MA jobs, of course, because I went to school for it therefore, thats what I should be doing with my life. BUT NO. I am merely a peon "bakery clerk" and your local over priced grocery store. Since January, I have been on about 4 interviews as an MA. All of them went particularly well, or so I thought. One of them stood out however.
I got to the medical plaza where the interview was, and waiting in the waiting area. There was someone already interviewing. I thought, "Oh great, competition." Silly me, thinking as if I'm the only one they would interview in one day. When it was my turn, the interview went ok, up until she asked me if I was bilingual. To which I replied, no. "Ooohhh....well the position is mandatory bilingual. Sorry, thanks for comin' down." WHAT? So now I HAVE to be bilingual to get a job in the medical field? What the hell is that? I've said it once, and I'll say it again. THIS IS AMERICA!! Now, why in the sam hell would I accommodate someone that is here in the gold ol USA, and doesn't speak english? If i were to go to China, would they speak engrish to me? (Yes, engrish) NO! They would expect me to speak chinese! So if they (whether 'they' be of hispanic decent, asian, french, portuguese, or what have u) are going to live here in the United States, they need to speak the national language. That being ENGLISH.
So for an employer to make it MANDATORY that someone speak spanish IN ORDER to just apply, is complete and utter nonsense. And I find it very unfair that I, myself being of hispanic decent, am losing out on opportunities for a job. Because in most situations, someone that speaks Spanish will definitely get hired over me. This I find very unacceptable.
And that, in essence, is why I THINK I am having such a hard time finding a job in the medical field.

3 Month Update
Well it's been a few months since my last blog. And as of March 27th I am no longer unemployed. But I feel as though I may as well be unemployed with what Fry's is paying me. I'm working in the Bakery doing the closing shift. It used to be 40 hours a week but OF COURSE they cut me down to 26. NOT GONNA WORK as my companion would say. And its really not. I was ALMOST caught up on the bills too. Bullshit.
Other than that I have just been applying everywhere including the movie theatre. We moved to a new place on Bell Rd. And It's amazing 2 bed, 2 bath, washer/dryer. MUCH bigger than our previous abode. And we have been looking forward to it for quite some time. OH and Justin, our drunk, gay, pill-popping landlord, is no longer living. He OD'd on drugs and liquor about a month ago. I was at work and I guess a friend of his found him...It was a horrid scene I imagine...I feel/felt bad for the guy. I knew he was going downhill, and we didnt really get along, but I never wanted him to die. When I look back to when we first moved in, before all the drama, he was a really nice guy.
But yeah, so that's my update. Now that we are moved and settled in, I vow to blog more often.

My Tiny Review
Ok, well my fellow bloggers know I am not a woman of many words when it comes to movie reviews. So, i decided to make my own little review blog. Here are the movies i have seen lately and my opinion of each.
COP OUT- Very good movie. Haven't seen a movie that made me laugh quite as much as this one. Bruce and Tracy are great together and I hope to see a sequel out of it.
SHUTTER ISLAND- This move was hyped up and everyone was excited for it. Hell, even I was. And during the movie I was thinking "is he trippin'? Are they trying to make him crazy? Does he really see these things?" hmm. Then to my surprise and disappointment, the movie was predictable. Come on Scorsese, you could have done better than that.
Well that is all I have seen lately. The end.
